Često dobivamo upite trgovca svih veličina s željom da u sustav upišu početno stanje skladišta pojedinog artikla. Ideja je da se stanje automatski umanjuje kako kupci rade narudžbe, pa da trgovac ne mora razmišljati o tome hoće li se neki artikl prodati u količini većoj nego što ga stvarno postoji.

We often receive inquiries from merchants of all sizes containing request for entering the initial stock quantity for a certain product. The idea is: to decrease the stock quantity as each buyer makes a purchase, so the merchant does not have to think about whether some product will be sold in quantity larger than the quantity actually exist.

BizzyBeeShop system, of course, knows the concept of stock quantity, and it can implement certain sales logic according to quantity.

Trgovci koji imaju ERP sustav i koji integriraju svoje artikle i cijene s web trgovinom, obično žele da im se integrira i podatak o stanju na skladištu. Onda se može implementirati neka logika vezana uz artikle kojih nema na stanju, primjerice:

  • treba ih u potpunosti sakriti s weba
  • treba ih ostaviti vidljivima (dobro za Google, SEO…) ali ne treba dozvoliti prodaju
  • treba ih ostaviti vidljivima i dozvoliti prodaju uz upozorenje da će se artikl naručiti i dobavljiv je za xxx dana

Merchants that utilize ERP systems, and those that integrate their product and prices info with the web shop, usually request to integrate the stock quantity information too. Then it’s possible to implement some logic related to products that don’t exist on stock. For example:

  • they should be completely removed from the web
  • they should be left visible (good for Google, SEO…) but the sales should not be allowed
  • they should be left visible and the sales should be allowed, with the warning that the product will be backordered and will be available in xxx days

Mali trgovci koji nemaju ERP sustav ili ne žele odmah integrirati te podatke s webom, također imaju želju za ovakvom automatizacijom.

Smaller merchants, that don’t have ERP system, or they don’t immediately want to integrate the data with the web shop, also have the wish to implement this kind of automatization.

We want to share our experiences from real life of some web shops. In case you don’t design your sales strategy very good, implementing the limitations depending on the stock quantity can sometimes bring more problems than use.

Recimo da nekom artiklu upišete stanje 10 komada. I krene u prodaju.

Let’s say you setup a stock quantity of 10 pcs for a product. And you start selling.

Nakon nekog vremena, na maloprodajnom web shopu, dolazi kupac i:

  • Ubacuje artikl u košaricu
  • Poveća količinu na 7 u košarici.
  • Ode na kupovinu (checkout)
  • Upiše svoje ime i prezime sa "asdf asdf", upiše neku email adresu bez veze
  • Odabere plaćanje virmanom ili pouzećem (ne odabire kreditnu karticu, jer bi onda stvarno trebao platiti)
  • Odradi kupovinu do kraja (checkout)
  • Implementirana logika koja automatski skida sa stanja ono što je prodano umanjuje 10 komada na 3 komada
  • Vi zapravo niste prodali ništa
  • Ali novi kupci sada mogu samo ubaciti 3 komada za kupovinu (ili tri kupca mogu po 1 komad, ali četvrti više ne može)

After a while, on your retail web shop, comes the buyer and:

  • Adds the product to basket
  • Increases the basket quantity to 7
  • Proceeds to checkout
  • Gives his name and surname as "asdf asdf", gives his email address like anything
  • Chooses the payment via bank transfer or pay-at-delivery options (does not chooses the credit card, because he would then need to actually pay)
  • Works the checkout to the end
  • Implemented logic, that decreases the stock quantity of a sold product, will decrease the quantity of 10 to 3 pcs
  • You actually sold nothing
  • But new buyers can now add only quantity of 3 products to basket (or 3 buyers can buy 1 product, but the 4th buyer cannot anymore)

Zamislite da, vama konkurentni web shop, shvati da imate ovakvu automatiku, pa vam svakog dana izvrši lažnu kupovinu najprodavanijih artikala i tako vam svaki dan zadaje probleme.

You can imagine your competitor web shop, when it realizes you have this automation. So every day they can make the fake purchase of your most selling products, and give you problems each day.

Ponekada ne želite da vaša konkurencija vidi koliko nečega imate na stanju za prodaju. Ako konkurencija zna koliko imate nekog popularnog artikla na stanju, onda može teoretski napraviti sljedeće:

  • Vidi da vi prodajete artikl po cijeni od 500
  • Ubaci artikl u košaricu, te promjeni količinu na 9999
  • Klikne gumb "Kupi" u košarici
  • Vaša košarica kaže "Poštovani, ovaj se artikl može kupiti samo u količini do 100 kom" (jer imate upisanu količinu 100 kom u sustavu)
  • Konkurent ima isti artikl u svojoj web trgovini, ali ima 1 na stanju
  • Snižava isti artikl na 490 u svom web shopu - time radi sebi gubitak od 10
  • Vi vidite sniženje kod konkurenta i vi snižavate cijenu na 490
  • Vaš gubitak je jednak 100 kom x 10 = 1000

Sometimes you don’t want your competition to have a glance at what are the quantities of the products you’re selling. If your competitors know what is the quantity of a popular product on stock, they theoretically can do the following:

  • Sees you’re selling the product at the price of 500
  • Adds the product to basket, and changes the quantity to 9999
  • Clicks the button "Buy" in the basket
  • Your basket shows the message "Dear buyer, this product can be purchased in quantity up to 100 pcs" (because you have the quantity of 100 pcs in the system)
  • Competitor has the same product in his web shop, but has the quantity of 1 at stock
  • He lowers the price to 490 in his web shop - thus generating his loss of 10
  • You cee the price of your competitor, and you lower the price at 490
  • Your loss is equal to 100 pcs x 10 = 1000

Ako ipak mislite da biste mogli upisivati stanje na skladištu, te implementirati neku logiku s artiklima koji nisu na stanju, možemo ponuditi privremeno rješenje.

If you still think you can enter the stock quantity, and to implement some logic with the products not on stock, we can offer a temporary solution.

Tu biste vi morali onda imati apsolutnu disciplinu, da uvijek i za svaki artikl upisujete točno neku brojku. Cijeli broj, bez ikakvih razmaka, bez teksta.

You should have the absolute discipline here, so you have to enter a number here always and for every product - a whole number, with no spaces, no text.

Dakle može:

Ne može:

  • 2 ili 3
  • Čeka se 15 dana

  • ...bilo što drugo što nije broj.

Onda mi moramo:

  • Napraviti posebnu proceduru, koja će provjeravati ovu količinu svaki puta kada netko ubacuje neku količinu u košaricu.
  • Ako upiše više od 4, košarica će kupcu smanjiti na 4 komada i izbaciti poruku u stilu "možete naručiti maksimalno 4 komada"
  • Kada kupac naruči, naš sustav mora automatski oduzeti naručenu količinu od postojeće i to upisati kao novu raspoloživu količinu
    • Ako je naručio 2 komada - mi ćemo isprogramirati da se u polje SKUpostavi nova vrijednost: 4 - 2 = 2
  • Sljedeći kupac će moći naručiti maksimalno 2 komada... itd. do nule.

Then we have to:

  • Create a special procedure that will check this stock quantity whenever somebody adds a product to basket.
  • If the person adds more than 4, the basket will lower the quantity to 4 and give the note to the buyer, something like this "you order maximum amount of 4 pcs"
  • When the buyer completes the order, our system needs to decrease the ordered quantity automatically and save the number as the new available quantity
    • If he purchased 2 pcs - we will program that the new SKU field is setup with the new value: 4 - 2 = 2
  • The next buyer will be able to purchase maximum quantity of 2 pcs... and so on, up to zero.

Trebati ćemo to implementirati, programirati, testirati. Nije nikakav problem, ali će uzeti sigurno 2-3 sata rada, najmanje.

We will need to implement that, develop, and test. It’s no problem, but it will take something like 2-3 hours of work at least.

Nove web trgovine obično inicijalno nemaju veliku navalu kupaca.

New web shops usually don’t have big number of buyers initially.

Tu i tamo kada netko dođe i naruči dotični artikl - vi imate dovoljno vremena da odete u Green Panel i deaktivirate artikl iz prodaje. Ako ste već prodali sve sa skladišta.

Here and there, when someone comes to the web, and purchases the product - you have enough time to go to Green Panel and deactivate the product from the web shop sales. That is, if you sold the entire stock quantity.

Vi imate potpunu kontrolu nad time.

You have the entire control on that.

Obično novi trgovci imaju dovoljno vremena nešto isključiti s weba, prije nego dođe drugi kupac.

Usually, new merchants have enough time to deactivate something from the web, before the new buyer comes.

Dakle, iskreno, ako ste malo trgovac ili trgovac početnik na webu - ne bismo vam preporučili da ugradite ovo ograničenje.

Therefore, to tell you the truth, if you are a small merchant or the merchant that yet starts the online sales - we would not recommend to implement this limitation.
